I am Philip John Harris, an experienced online GCSE and A Level Science tutor with over 30 years of experience teaching Science and Mathematics.
Throughout my teaching career, I have developed a deep understanding of how students learn and the challenges they can face when studying demanding subjects. I believe that effective tutoring is not simply about knowing the subject — it is about explaining concepts clearly, identifying gaps in understanding, building confidence, and helping each student develop the skills they need to succeed.
Since 2022, I have focused on online tutoring, providing personalised tuition to students studying GCSE and A Level Science. My approach combines the knowledge and experience gained from three decades in education with the flexibility and convenience of online learning.
I aim to create a supportive, structured and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their understanding and working towards their academic goals.
Whether a student needs help mastering difficult topics, preparing for examinations, improving their confidence, or consolidating their existing knowledge, I tailor my teaching to their individual needs and learning objectives.
With 30 years of classroom teaching experience and a commitment to effective online education, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their potential in Science and Mathematics.
